24 Hour Relay Club Fundraiser 8pm Tuesday 5th April

Beccles Kingfishers 24hr Mega Swim Challenge

From 8pm Tuesday 5th April – 8pm Wednesday 6th April, Beccles swimmers will be swimming for 24 hours to raise funds for the swimming club. This money will help the club pay for poolside equipment as we as an upgraded Electronic Scoreboard.

Each swimmer has a sponsor form. Please obtain as many sponsors as possible so we can purchase equipment that will benefit each and every swimmer.

The under 14’s can swim for a continuous hour.

The senior swimmers will be racing a continuous relay.

The Lawrence Lowman 48,000m Mega Challenge

On Tuesday 5th April, staring at 8pm. Lawrence, current Men’s Club Captain and Senior Coach, will be attempting to swim 1,000m EVERY 30 mins for the duration of 24 hours. This will give him no time to sleep or eat anything substantial. It will be a real test of endurance and determination. By the end, he will have swum 48,000 metres, around 1.5 times the distance of the English Channel.

He is in real need of some sponsorship, the money will be divided between Beccles Kigfishers and Leukaemia Research. Anyone that feels they have a few pounds to spare I would really appreciate it
